The Oval Office

Way to go Americans! You've voted with your hearts and brought in a new era of change. Everyone's mind is occupied with important concerns at this crucial time in history and I pray for all those who've fallen on hard times.

So I hope you'll allow me at least one frivilous concern. A trifle really. What is it, you ask? Ok, I'll tell you. I can't wait to see... how WILL our 44th President decorate the Oval Office? Yeah, you heard me correctly. So, Country, we've just witnessed what is socially one of the most interesting and inspiring historical events in our lifetime, and in more ways than one, along with Change comes a whole new color scheme. (Don't huff at my shallowness.)

So while we have to wait on the edge of our seats and wonder, here are some of my favorite pictures of the Oval Office of times past taken from the White House Museum Website. Ridiculous, I am aware.

My top pick goes to President Ronald Reagan's Oval Office Decor

President George H. W. Bush with his dog Minnie

Vary Scandalous Colors!

President Gerald Ford with his dog Liberty

President Lyndon B. Johnson watches Martin Luther King's assassination on TV

1977 Jimmy Carter

You may notice that almost all the Presidents used the Resolute Desk. The desk was made famous by a photograph of President John F. Kennedy at work while his son, John Jr., peeked out from behind the kneehole panel.
